As a kid, shooting and editing 8mm motion-picture film was the greatest. Apart from framing the shot and telling a story
with fifty feet of film and no audio, was the anticipation of getting the film back from the drugstore to see what was
and sometimes what wasn’t on it.
For the past twenty five years I have been living that childhood passion producing commercial
still and video images as well as teaching graphic design, photography and digital video at a regional four-year university.
I am constantly amazed at how the digital revolution has changed how I work and how I shoot. I think it’s nice being old
enough to appreciate today’s digital world although I must confess sometimes I miss the anticipation of the drug store.
